Support Groups

Prevention Meets Fashion offers a variety of free support groups throughout the year based on demand. Groups are in-person, virtual, or a hybrid. All support groups require the member to:

  • Be 18 years or older (if under 18, please contact us directly)

  • Complete a registration form

  • Sign a confidentiality agreement to protect the privacy of each member

Group Type is Open or Closed:

  • Open Groups: New members are allowed to join at anytime.

  • Closed Groups: Members will not be admitted once group has started and need to wait until the next group cycle.

Support groups are not a substitute for therapy and although these groups are run by sexuality educators, social workers, and social work interns, we will refer you to a therapist if you are not already in care.

Email noutland@preventionmeetsfashion.org with any questions.

*This is not an exhaustive list. In the group we will begin to address the role clothing has played in our trauma history and move towards some tangible steps to begin to heal.

This is not a trauma processing group. If we see that more work needs to be done beyond this group we will refer you to a therapist.
